At Langelinje Pier sits one of Copenhagen’s most famous attractions: The sculpture of The Little Mermaid, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. 23 August 2013 she will turn 100 years old, and you’re invited to celebrate her with song, music, dance performances, stories, real mermaids and of course fireworks. The celebration of the mermaid’s big day continues way into the night at Toldboden nightclub next door and throughout the weekend across Copenhagen.
Tivoli has decided to give its guests a fireworks show every Saturday night during the summer season.
The fireworks will be music driven show on the basis of classical low-flying fireworks and intelligent lighting. Tivoli’s experienced and award-winning fireworks champion Gunnar B. Knudsen has designed the fireworks for the show surrounding the classic fountains and the Tivoli Concert Hall. The concert hall is set to disappear in light, colour and music.
There will also be an even larger fireworks show on the closing day 22 September 2013.
